Sa'diah started belly dancing in 2004, but her love affair started
several years before that. Always intrigued by belly dance and
other styles of Middle Eastern and East Indian dances, she
never thought that she would one day join the ranks of those elusive belly
dancers. In the spring of 2004, her opportunity finally arrived! One evening
while attending her weekly ballet class, a new student to the class spoke of
her love affair with dance and her passion for belly dance.

Sa'diah was inspired (and persuaded) to try tribal fusion belly dance from
her new found friend, Etana, who had been dancing and instructing belly
dance for the better part of ten years. Still unsure and a bit scared of what a
belly dancer actually was and did, Sa'diah quickly fell in love with the dance
which celebrated freedom, beauty, self-expression, and the fun of dancing
with a tribe of others.

Along with studying with her mentor Etana, Sa’diah has also taken instruction
with Sharon Moore, Elise Bryant, Melody and Raven. Sa’diah has taken
workshops on Middle Eastern drumming, Turkish-Romany dance, Bhangra
Fusion, and skirt work. Sa’diah owes much that she has learned to all of the
great women she has danced with throughout her belly dance experience.
