With little to no dance experience, Leorah joined an Egyptian
belly dance class in 2003. With very little coordination and a lot
of determination, Leorah discovered that it was not as easy as it
looked, but even more fun than she expected. With the encouragement and
support of many other dancers she began to dust off her creative side and
performed duets with Yazdin, a very creative classmate.
Through the desire to learn how to create a beautiful performance, the joy of
dancing with others, and the support of her instructors, she learned more about
the art and worked diligently to find her style of dance.
She was excited to become a member of Wild Serenity Dance Tribe in 2005
and joined a wonderful group of creative women who shared the same joy and
desire to learn. She looks forward to the experiences she will share with troupe
mates and audiences in performances to come.
